I have been involved in Broadmead Church since before it was built. I first got involved with kids activities when I came to Tunbridge Wells in 1970 as a primary school teacher. I have seen many changes over the years and have always been involved in some way. At present I am a deacon and, with others, run Toddler time on a Tuesday morning which gives us a great opportunity to meet local families.
I am married to Lawrence and we have four grown-up children and four grandchildren. I grew up in Portugal and enjoy speaking Portuguese whenever I get the chance.
I’ve been a regular member of Broadmead church since 1990 & have been involved in many activities during my time at Broadmead. Currently I’m a Trustee & joint leader of a home group, which meets at our house each week. I manage the sound desk and projection for worship on a regular basis and I also have the very spiritual responsibility of organising our bowling team in the Inter church bowling league!
I’m married to Naomi & we have a daughter Amelia born in March 2012 as well as a second baby due in July 2013. We live in Hawkenbury, Tunbridge Wells & I’m blessed to have a local job working for AXA in Tunbridge Wells within their IT department.
I have been at Broadmead church for 2 and a half years and have got very involved over this time. I am on the tea and coffee rota and tend to the flowers for the church on a regular basis. I am always available to pray with people before and after the services and enjoy bringing people into a closer relationship with Jesus. I currently lead a home group where we discuss the sermon in greater detail. I enjoy the friendly atmosphere at Broadmead and the Bible-led preaching each week. I work as a professional gardener, and live in Southborough. I am married and have two grown- up daughters, and one granddaughter.
Mark and Clare SeddonWorship Leaders
We joined Broadmead as worship leaders in November 2010. Prior to that we had been worship leaders at two other churches in the area for many years, and also headed up a youth choir. We are both keen to help people engage in worship to God.
We are songwriters and have recorded numerous songs. From the first worship song written in 1998 to our present day compositions, each song has the aim of helping people to worship God and be encouraged in Him.
We got engaged in 2008 on the top of the Empire State Building in New York and were married in 2009. Clare has a degree in music, plays piano and violin and sings. Mark plays guitar, piano and bass, and also sings. We are both excited about the future of worship and know that God will find more people who will worship Him in spirit and in truth.”
